About me

A little bit about me and my business;

My name is Sahara Thomsen, currently located in Bend, Oregon.  I feel most at peace when I've backpacked miles away from civilization, high in the mountains and deep in the forests.  No matter the season I am most likely exploring the wonders of the world, either backpacking, fishing, paddle-boarding, snowboarding, surfing, etc. I love it all!    

Art has been a way for me to express myself from a very young age, when words were hard to articulate my feelings, painting was a wonderful way to put everything on a canvas.  I fell in love with the process, mixing colors and forming a story with every brushstroke.  Throughout my classes, I have met many individuals who have never painted a day in their life or haven't done crafts since they were a child, so an idea or more of a passion sparked inside of me. 

My passion is to teach affordable classes/workshops and make connections through expression!   I have been teaching classes for a couple of years now, I love every part of it!  My goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome and comfortable.  A place for people to step away from everyday stressors, learn something new and have fun.  I'm here to give others my knowledge and provide the tools to let your creative self flourish!
